Our Story

Everyone's love story is different...However, when it's true LOVE you will know!

 

Our journey began with a prayer — a heartfelt plea for a love that was different, special, and directed by God.  We were both weary of finding love after past relationship disappointments. In fact, we stopped actively trying and decided to pray and put our faith in God's hands. Then one day, as if guided by divine timing, our paths crossed in an unexpected way.

 

We met through an online dating app. Tony, feeling discouraged and ready to delete his account, open the app and a picture of Christie appeared at the top of his profile. He paused, captivated by her beauty and highlights from her profile. Despite this initial impression, Tony hesitated. Lacking the confidence to reach out, he didn’t match as a friend right away. Yet, each time he opened the app, her picture reappeared, as if calling out to him.  Finally, after viewing her photos and profile multiple times, Tony decided to take a leap of faith. He initiated a friend match with Christie and sent her the first message.

 

Meanwhile, Christie had a similar experience. Disheartened by her own dating journey, she was on the verge of deleting her online account. But on that fateful day, something held her back. Just before she could deactivate her profile, a notification popped up — a new friend match request from Tony.

Intrigued, Christie viewed Tony’s profile and pictures and found something warm and genuine in his smile, something that made her pause. Feeling a spark of curiosity and hope, she decided to respond to his message.

 

After a series of great conversations, we had our first date and it was the best date ever.  What began as a simple conversation exchange over dinner quickly blossomed into a deep and meaningful friendship. Over time, our connection grew into a beautiful relationship, one rooted in God’s guidance, mutual respect, honesty, and love for one another and their families. We both felt that something special was transpiring and only time would tell.

 

On Christmas Day in 2024, Tony proposed to Christie in front of both families, at dinner, and she said YES!!!!

 

Our story serves as a testament to faith, patience, and the unexpected ways God’s plans unfold. Even in moments of doubt and discouragement, wonderful things can happen when you let go and wait on the Lord. Sometimes, all it takes is a little faith and the courage to take the first step. We are entering a marriage that ONLY God can take credit for.
